It’s hard to believe that in January I’m able to hike through the woods and enjoy sunshine and warm temperatures. I’m fortunate to live next to the trail that leads to an observation point in the midst of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s a fantastic four mile hike and Ace is my daily companion as we enjoy the fresh air.

One of the joys of a life in broadcasting is hearing from former colleagues. Although I have not worked in St. Paul for a few years now, my friend John Birge shows up in my email inbox from time to time and he is great about keeping in touch. We share a similar sense of humor, and recently he sent me a link to “Shark Song” which is a very funny re-edit of the movie Jaws. This is the result of a contest that requires film editors to make a trailer that completely changes the film from its original genre. It’s 90 seconds, and is very funny.
