I am in Oregon working on audio systems. My surroundings are spectacular, and I enjoy the crew here. Every evening I borrow a dog from a friend and go for a long walk. The ranch is a total of 64,000 acres so there is plenty to explore.
Rufus loves to chase rabbits and anything else he sees in the hills.
This is a great place to enjoy fresh air and walk off that extra slice of pizza.
Meet Zack. He’s a firefighter in Baltimore and a deck hand on tugboats in Chesapeake Bay. Always great to have him around for laughs, good stories and GREAT food.
One morning I was surprised when Zack appeared in the galley hatch and handed me breakfast. In an effort to stay healthy I’d enjoyed yogurt and a granola bar earlier in the morning. He didn’t know that I’d already eaten, and when presented with bacon and eggs I decided to throw dietary rules out the window and enjoyed a second breakfast. The entire crew was always well fed.
One afternoon Zack appeared in the wheel house with a meat and cheese platter. He loves making sure food is plentiful for everyone, but confesses that he’d rather cook than paint.
Having worked with this crew before, they knew that my love for painting would work in their favor. Spending a couple of weeks with a brush in my hand is a great way to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
Then again, there are a variety of ways to enjoy the great outdoors…
