twl

I’m traveling, working on audio systems.  My first stop was in Michigan, where the really nice console pictured above had problems due to computer errors.  After a couple hours of sorting through software, all was solved.  Tomorrow I’ll fly to Virginia to spend a few days installing speakers in an auditorium.  Next week, I’m off to school.

Many Changes

Much has happened over the last month.  I moved out of the house in Huron, enrolled in school, and presently I’m enjoying the warm weather and sandy beaches of the Gulf Coast.  Next week I’ll head to Nashville for a couple of audio jobs.

Recently my blog has showcased Mac, a great puppy who was quickly becoming a fantastic dog.  Unfortunately, Mac is no longer with us.

I used to work on a farm where the job was rewarding, and at the start, the people were kind.  However, their unethical business practices prompted me to leave there for employment on other farms.  Although this was years ago, I’ve disliked that employer ever since, probably because his insults and reckless behaviors were mixed with my grief over the death of my father.  This same person ran over, and killed Mac.  What’s worse is the attempt to keep this a secret from me.

When I ventured to South Dakota, I was looking forward to living in a community governed by the traditional values associated with hard-working farmers.  Honesty and integrity being at the top of my list, it was distressing to experience the opposite.

I have a distant perspective from here on the Gulf, which is probably a good thing.  This is a perfect place to sort out the past, and look to the future.

Mac will be missed.

Mac in the Truck

Another post about the puppy?  Yes…forgive me…but he’s so darn cute.  The harvest is in, and I’ve spent several days hauling corn to the elevator in town.  Mac enjoys riding in the semi, and I’ve decided I like his company.  He sits off to my right, and is a great companion.

grin

Cruising down the highway, he’s content to watch the world go by, and sometimes he chews on a towel.

When we get to town, he leans against me and takes in all the interesting sights and sounds.  He’s fascinated by traffic, and watching the traffic signals.
