Adventure Log

My body has decided it is going to revolt against the solvents used in the engine room of the Gott.  I’m not sure exactly what is happening, but yesterday I was in a doctor’s office who told me not to return to the engine room of any ship until lab work has conclusively defined what is happening medically. 

This photo of the block was taken from the gangway level.  The engine is stripped down and the block is getting a complete cleaning.  An inspection, along with metal analysis will assure the structure is sound, ready for another four years of service. 

Today Chad and I removed studs which hold the jackets, liners and heads in place.  John allowed the use of pneumatic tools, which sped the process along.  We still have a few more to go…
