Tour the Shed

At the end of day two, the steel sides were taking shape.

The new building went up faster than one could imagine. The photo below shows the completed structure awaiting the concrete crew.

For some odd reason, someone decided to host a 4th of July celebration in the new building. The photo below clearly shows how the loader tractor, the semi and the tandem truck fit nicely along the north wall. Too bad this little girl is blocking the view of the machinery. Who in their right mind would rig up a swing in a working facility?

The extensive corner bracing assures the roof is capable of handling wind, snow and whatever else can blow across the plains. Sorry about the happy child in this photo. Not sure how that happened.

This particular truck was a place for children to play. However, all ages were anxious to check out the “Club House.” This man was not able to gain access and was irritated that he did not get his turn with the Play Dough.

Fun times awaited those who could fit through the door. Sorry buddy, 6′4″ makes you cool on the basketball court, but it does you no good when story time comes around.

On the south side of the building, translucent panels allow natural light to filter in.

After the sun goes down, a series of carefully installed fixtures provide illumination for equipment maintenance.

There’s something about well maintained machinery that inspires young and old.

A fun day was had by all.
